Big Game Fishing Experience

Cape Verde is celebrated for its outstanding big game fishing, particularly for prized catches like Marlin, Tuna, and Sailfish. The prime season for both trolling and vertical jigging spans from May to October.

Trolling

This method is most effective during the warmer months, with peak activity from June to September. Anglers can look forward to catching larger pelagic species during this period, as the waters teem with baitfish, enticing predators to the area.

Vertical Jigging

Optimal from May to October as well, vertical jigging proves most rewarding around underwater structures and drop-offs. The warm currents during these months attract a variety of species, making it an excellent time for targeting Tuna and other bottom-dwelling fish.
